Poetry in Motion
White clouds drifting by
Over the winter’s snow.
A white wolf stands howling
To his pack far below.
A snowshoe hare running
Over a crisp, sparkling snow.
A snowy owl flies silently,
Looking for prey below.
The winter moon moves slowly
Across the clear night sky.
Silence and peace fill my soul.
How I wish that I could fly.

ReplyDeletefly! You can fly all you like but other people won't see it :)
ReplyDeleteI wonder what inspired you to write about deep winter in summertime. Maybe nostalgia, which you expressed well.
